The Litewave Media team has had some great opportunities to work with musicians over the years– from filming with Grammy-Award-Winning jazz musician Chick Corea in our studio, to classic rock legends Foreigner, and the country chart-topping Band Perry, we’ve worked with a great variety of talent. We recently finished a pre-concert publicity video with No Limits, a dance video with hip-hop artist Isis Sonatra, and even our very own 60′s zombie-themed Tampa music video production.
But one band our Florida production company has partnered with on numerous occasions is Tampa Bay’s own Come Back Alice… and this week we got to do a photoshoot with them!
Tony Tyler and Dani Jaye of Come Back Alice in our Florida production studio.
Come Back Alice formed in 2011 and have been performing live ever since. They love to be on stage and bring their funky rock style to every city they tour in. They’ve also been called “Tampa Bay’s Hottest Rock N Roll Band” by Advisor Magazine.
Tony Tyler, lead singer of Come Back Alice, rocks out in our Florida photography studio.
With the popularity of the band growing, they plan to expand into new markets this year. They enlisted Litewave Media for our photography and creative services. We photographed the rock band for their upcoming publicity and music releases and captured their unique, eclectic style right here in our Tampa photography studio.
Our Tampa photography crew captured this enigmatic photo of Dani Jaye of Come Back Alice.
Photographer and photo shoot director Christian Cashmir and our Tampa video production crew captured the photos using a variety of different lighting set-ups. Our team photographed the band with gear from our Tampa photography equipment rental package, including our Canon 5D MkIII, Canon L-Series Lenses (24mm L f/1.4 II, 50mm L f/1.2), and Profoto D2 photo strobes.
Our photography team used practical lighting in this shot for a more evocative effect.
After the shoot, our team processed and re-touched the photos back in our Florida post production suite to match the band’s stylistic vision.

Just a few weeks ago our Tampa Video Production Company, Litewave Media, filmed Carlos Beruff as he announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate. Litewave Media director of photography Christian Cashmir and our Florida video production crew drove down to Sarasota, Florida to film the senate hopeful announce his candidacy. The beautiful lake backdrop behind Beruff’s business was the perfect place to film his announcement ceremony. With the large crowd of Beruff’s friends, family, and business associates eagerly anticipating his arrival, our video team was ready to capture this historic moment as he vowed to “Put America First”.

We drove down to Sarasota, FL with our Tampa Grip Truck to catch Mr. Beruff on his final stop in Florida during his tour of the state. Litewave Media was the first to arrive on the scene to prepare for the press conference. Our Tampa video production company showed up early to set up amongst the bustling crowd of reporters to secure prime filming locations.

Our Tampa video equipment included our Canon C300 HD camera, Sachtler DV10SB tripod, as well as a lavalier mic for Mr. Beruff himself. We filmed the entire announcement ceremony and the small get-together afterwards for Beruff’s closest family and friends.
Our Tampa video production crew was all set up and ready to capture cinematic footage of Carlos Beruff announcing his candidacy for the Senate.

“You want some blood?” Zombies and gypsies reigned supreme this Halloween at our Tampa video production company. Earlier in 2015, Litewave Media partnered with director Iris Saunders to produce the short film “The Pirate Gypsies.” Litewave Media’s founder, Christian Cashmir and Iris Saunders co-wrote and produced an original song called Walk Like a Gypsy for the movie. And so, this Halloween, our Tampa video crew got together to film a 60′s throwback, zombie inspired music video for their original song, Walk Like a Gypsy.
Our zombie gypsies are ready to start shooting (or eat our crew)
We filmed the music video over the course of three nights, one night at our Tampa video production studio and two nights at a forest near the studio in St. Petersburg, Florida. Before the first shoot day, choreographer, Johanne Castagan, rehearsed with the dancers at our Tampa video studio. Costume designer, Bridget Bartley Desjarlais, met with the team and designed costumes for the music video.
The dancers practice their choreography one last time before filming
On our first day of shooting, with a little inspiration from Michael Jackson’s, “Thriller”, we filmed a gypsy zombie dance sequence in a forest near our studio. With 12 performers dancing, fog machines blowing, and three cameras filming simultaneously, the scene came together quite nicely.
Our special fx makeup artist, Ginny Dworchak, and hair stylist, Jane Figuera, transformed the dancers into flesh-eating zombies! The lighting team including, Rich Brito, Andrew Ortoski, Harold “Pinky” Hood and Chris Plourde lit the forest with some HMI’s and Jokers from our Tampa video lighting equipment and Tampa grip truck rental package. Our Director of Photography, Kenny Strawn, filmed with our Canon C100 mounted on our EZ FX jib. We also filmed with our Sony FS100, Sony A7s and a Canon C100 Mark II on a Steadicam to get a variety of angles of the performance.

For the second shoot day, our set designer, Don Knight, transformed our Florida video production studio into a 1960s performance stage, inspired by The Beatles’ Ed Sullivan Show performances. Our very own Christian Cashmir was the male vocalist and guitarist while Ann P aka Ann Poonkasem was the female lead vocalist. Alissa Schneider and Jenique Hendrix played as backup singers, Ricky Fernandez kept the beat as drummer and Grant Johnson layed the beefy licks as bass player. Bridget and Jenique Hendrix outfit the band members with 60s period clothing while Jane Figuera and Ann P styled hair and makeup.
Our studio was lit by the 2nd day’s DP and gaffer, Andrew Ortoski, with our key grip, Sasha Sebesta. Andrew filmed with our Canon C100, Canon & Zeiss Cinema Lenses, and skateboard Dolly from our Tampa camera equipment rental. Our SteadiCam operator, Eric Coughlin, shot with a Canon C100 Mark II and Canon L Lenses.
The Jypsies are ready to debut their new single Walk Like a Jypsy!
For our last shooting day, Litewave Media’s Tampa video production crew travelled back to the forrest. John Jones lit the location with the help of Chris Plourde and Maxime Puister. The team used a Joker 800 and LED lights to create the look of moonlight in the woods. In this scene, the fog machines rolled again while Ann P’s Mother Zombie Jypsy lured Christian Cashmir and Alissa Schneider into the darkness. John was the director of photography for the scene, and he filmed with the Sony A7s which was great for the low light look of the scene.

I’ve been waiting for a girl… or “opportunity” like this… to come into my life. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! The new year just started, but Litewave Media has been busy with some incredible new Tampa video productions this year. Our latest video shoot was no exception, when we got the opportunity to film with the classic rock band Foreigner.
We were honored when the L.A. based Incite Media hired our Tampa video production company to film a live performance by the band Foreigner for ProFlower’s new Valentine’s Day promotion. Foreigner is one of the world’s best selling bands of all time, having sold more than 80 million records around the globe! They are the king of love songs which made them a perfect partner for ProFlower’s new bouquet. The promotion is called the Hot Blooded Bouquet inspired by the band’s hit song, “Hot Blooded”.

The performance took place at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota. Tickets for the show were sold out. People from all over the country traveled to Sarasota to see the famous band perform their greatest hits, such as Hot Blooded, Juke Box Hero, Waiting for a Girl like You, Feels Like the First Time and I Want to Know What Love Is. As part of the ProFlower’s promotion, everyone in the entire audience received a rose when they came into the venue. When Foreigner sang their last song, Hot Blooded, two cannons on either side of the stage launched rose pedals into the audience for an ultimate climax to the show.
Lead singer Kelly Hansen passionately performs the band’s classic songs
Before the incredible performance by the band, our video production team had the unique opportunity to meet the lead singer Kelly Hansen and original songwriter/lead guitarist Mick Jones for a private interview. Our film crew brought our Tampa grip truck to set up the lighting which included Kino Flos Diva lights, LED lights and a variety of Tampa video equipment to get the perfect interview look.

Christian Cashmir was director of photography and operated a Canon C100 camera, Bryan Coward filmed with a second Canon C100 while Harold “Pinky” Hood served as grip and also did a bit of camera work on a Canon 5D mark III during the concert. Eric Wolfson from Incite Media produced the video production.

Our Tampa video crew was honored to meet the legendary band and extremely grateful for the opportunity to hang out with its members backstage. Our Litewave Media founder, Christian, has always been a huge Foreigner fan and owns their entire music collection on vinyl. He was lucky to get one of his Foreigner records, Headgames, signed by Mick Jones, lead guitar/songwriter.

Our Tampa video production company had the pleasure of working with one of the most exciting live bands in the Southeast, Come Back Alice. The self-proclaimed Southern Gypsy Funk rockers had a distinct vision for their song Coraline: a Tim Burton-inspired dark mystical journey set in the late 1800′s. Our creative team was excited to write the script and turn the project into a reality with the band.
Come Back Alice gets ready to perform a take in the historic Don Vicente Hotel in Ybor
After completing the script, Litewave Media’s Tampa music video production crew scouted locations in the area. The historic Don Vicente Hotel in Ybor and Edward Medard Park in Plant City were selected as the shooting locations. These unique locales would bring the 19th century theme to life.

Filming took place over 2 days, in the hot Florida summer. All four band members, including lead guitarist/vocalist Tony Tyler, fiddle player/vocalist Dani Jaye, bassist Big Bad John, and drummer Yral Morris, made cameos in the video as a band of traveling gypsy musicians who the main character Coraline meets on her journey. Christian Cashmir, Florida music video director, led the Litewave Media video production team with a cast and crew of nearly 30 people.

Recording artist and international rap artist Isis Sonatra hailing from the Bahamas brought her dance crew all the way from Hollywood, FL to film with Litewave Media, Tampa’s leading music video production company. Isis recorded her song on the other coast, but came to Litewave Media to mix and master her track.

Litewave Media also recorded the vocal hook with singer Davia who flew up from the Bahamas to record at our Tampa music recording studio. Christian Cashmir assisted with producing the hook vocals for the track and our studio engineer Adam Klingman recorded, mixed and mastered the song. Once the track was complete the film crew began prepping for the video.

Isis is looking to film another music video next month for an upcoming track which our Tampa video production team is really looking forward to. Christian and Adam are also working on a new song for Isis as well which they plan to record with her this summer at Litewave Media’s Tampa recording studio.
